One cookie to rule them all.

Here's what we knew going into our marriage: her mom can't do dairy. My mom can't do gluten. And neither of them will let you forget it.

Every time these two women end up at the same table, and it happens more than either of them would prefer, dessert becomes a "who is loved more" fiasco. One picks up a cookie, asks the ingredients, and sets it back down offended. The other does the same thing… just more vocal about it.

We love them. They love us. Whether they love each other is up for debate.

At some point we stopped trying to keep the peace and started trying to keep them chewing. So we made a cookie just for them. Vegan, gluten-free, dairy-free, and engineered for the only outcome that mattered: delicious contentment.

It took a while. A loooooong while. A few that "tasted healthy", which, if you've ever fed something to your mother, you know is not a compliment. But we landed on one that worked. And it worked better than we thought, because the whole table loved them, allergies or not.

And we've been baking them every day since.

We make them fresh in our Austin home kitchen, ship them out the same day, and start fresh again the next day. Small batches mean we know every cookie that goes out the door.
